This Privacy Policy explains how VClock.pro ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website and its clock, alarm, timer and stopwatch tools. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
VClock has no registration, no login and no user profiles. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail in order to use the tools.
Alarms you create, cities you add to the world clock, and preferences such as your chosen alarm sound are stored using your browser's local storage — a small amount of space on your own computer or phone. This information is never transmitted to our servers. We cannot read it. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider and analytics may record standard technical information when you visit: browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, and an approximate location at country or city level derived from your IP address. This data is aggregated and used to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is performing correctly. It is not used to identify you personally.
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand traffic. We also display advertising through Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page. Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are presented with a consent choice for personalised advertising where required by law.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate traffic — for example, how many people used the timer this week. This information is anonymised and cannot be traced back to an individual visitor.
Two optional features may request a browser permission. Desktop notifications are only requested if you tick the notification checkbox, and are used solely to alert you when your own alarm or timer finishes. Screen wake lock may be used to stop your screen sleeping while a timer runs. Neither collects or transmits any data, and both are entirely optional.
Our site and blog may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
VClock is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Because we do not operate user accounts and your settings never leave your device, the amount of data we handle is minimal by design. The site is served entirely over HTTPS encryption.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we do not hold personal accounts, most requests can be satisfied by clearing your browser data. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
